Meta Data Deletion Instructions

Fonebook Social Studio is an internal Fonebook business tool used by authorised staff to prepare and publish Fonebook content. When Facebook or Instagram is connected, Fonebook may store connection information needed for that integration, such as a Facebook Page identifier, Instagram professional-account identifier, access token and related connection metadata.

Fonebook does not ask for or store your Facebook or Instagram password.

1. Disconnect or revoke Meta access

An authorised administrator can disconnect the Meta integration from Fonebook Social Studio where that control is available. Access can also be revoked from the relevant Facebook or Meta account by removing Fonebook Social Studio from the account's connected apps, apps and websites, or business integrations settings.

Revoking Meta access stops future authorised API access. It does not automatically remove posts or media that were already published to Facebook or Instagram; those remain subject to the controls available on the relevant Meta profile or Page.

2. Request deletion from Fonebook

To request deletion of Meta connection data held by Fonebook, email Support@fonebook.co.uk with the subject Meta Data Deletion Request.

Please include enough information for us to identify the connection, such as your name, the Facebook Page name or Instagram username connected to Fonebook Social Studio, and the email address you use for Fonebook administration if relevant.

3. What Fonebook will remove

After we verify an authorised deletion request, Fonebook will remove the active Meta connection information that we control and no longer need, which may include stored Facebook Page and Instagram account identifiers, access tokens and related connection metadata.

Limited security, audit, accounting, legal or dispute records may be retained where there is a lawful and necessary reason to do so. Content already published on Meta platforms is controlled through the relevant Facebook or Instagram account and may need to be deleted separately there.

4. Confirmation and privacy rights

We will handle verified deletion requests in line with applicable data-protection requirements and our Privacy Notice. If we need more information to verify authority over the relevant Fonebook or Meta business connection, we will ask only for information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
