Fonebook Social Studio
Fonebook's authorised business publishing and Google Business Profile management application.
Purpose of the application
Fonebook Social Studio is used by authorised Fonebook staff to prepare, review, schedule and publish Fonebook business content from one internal workspace. It also connects Fonebook's Google Business Profile so authorised staff can identify the correct business account and location and perform supported profile publishing actions.
This public information page explains the purpose of the application. It does not provide public access to the internal Social Studio admin area.
Google Business Profile connection
Fonebook Social Studio uses Google OAuth and requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage permission when an authorised administrator chooses to connect Google Business Profile.
The connection is used to discover the Google Business accounts and locations available to the authorised administrator, select the appropriate Fonebook location, and perform supported actions such as publishing business updates approved by Fonebook staff.
Fonebook Social Studio does not receive or store the administrator's Google password. OAuth credentials are kept in private server-side application storage and the Google Business Profile connection can be disconnected by an authorised administrator.
Data use and privacy
When Google Business Profile is connected, Fonebook may process the selected Business Profile account and location identifiers, relevant business profile information returned by Google's APIs, and OAuth credentials needed to maintain the authorised connection.
Fonebook does not sell Google user data and does not use Google API data for advertising, retargeting or credit decisions. Full details are provided in the Fonebook Privacy Notice.
