A personalised case from the Fonebook printer
Our latest printing footage shows a clear phone case on the UV printer bed, followed by the finished case being held up for a closer look. The design uses a family photograph, turning an everyday accessory into something personal.
The images below are frames from that footage: the printer at work and the finished printed case.
What is UV printing?
UV printing uses ink that is cured with ultraviolet light during the printing process. It is a method used to personalise objects and surfaces; Roland DG explains the underlying process in its guide to UV printing technology.
For your project, the useful starting points are the item you want to personalise, the design you have in mind and the space available for the print. Bring those details into Fonebook so we can discuss the options for your item.
Phones, cases, tablets, laptops and more
Our UV printing service covers more than phone cases. Ask us about personalising:
- Phones — discuss a design for your handset.
- Phone cases — add a favourite photo or your own artwork.
- Tablets — bring your model details and printing idea.
- Laptops — ask about a design for the outside of your laptop.
- Other items — show us what you would like printed.
The item’s shape, finish and available print area matter. Pop in with the item, or contact us with its details, so we can confirm suitability before you go ahead.
Choosing a design for your case
A personal photo, a favourite colour scheme or artwork you have created can be a starting point. For a photo case, think about which people or details you want to keep visible around the camera opening.
Bring the clearest original image or design file you have, along with your phone model. If you are choosing a gift, check the recipient’s exact model first so you can discuss the right case with us. We can then talk through your idea, placement and available options in store.
